Chiang Mai ALIST Clinic, a major private sector supporter, endorses the Miss Chiang Mai, Mr. Chiang Mai, and Miss Chiang Mai in Our Hearts contests for the year 2024.

The Miss Chiang Mai contest started in 1934 during the Constitution Day festivities. Over 91 years, it has become a legendary celebration of the beauty of the Weing Ping Violets.

This year, the contest is open to beautiful women from 17 provinces in the northern region, competing for the Peacock Crown and a prize of 100,000 baht to promote tourism in Chiang Mai. The preliminary round was held on January 5, with the finals on Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the central stage of the Winter Festival, organized by the Chiang Mai Province in cooperation with the Provincial Administrative Organization and private sector sponsors. 

Mr. Arth Chaihemrat and the executives of Chiang Mai ALIST Clinic, as primary private sector representatives, participated in the press conference officially 

launching the Miss Chiang Mai and Mr. Chiang Mai contests for 2024.
They support the Miss Chiang Mai and Mr. Chiang Mai contests by providing gift vouchers valued at over 500,000 baht:
First Place: 100,000 baht
Second Place: 70,000 baht
Third Place: 50,000 baht
Fourth Place: 30,000 baht 
Fifth Place: 30,000 baht

On December 22, 2023, the Miss Chiang Mai 2024 contestants participated in a portrait photo shoot.

 
This year, Chiang Mai ALIST Clinic introduced the "Step Into Good Looks" concept, changing the theme to black attire for a charming and attractive appearance. They also provided the Drip Health Plus skin care program to rejuvenate and moisturize the skin, giving contestants soft and youthful skin, with advice on skin care from Dr. Patcharapol Supawong, a medical professor at Chiang Mai ALIST Clinic.

Miss Chiang Mai Contest 2024 at the Winter Festival Stage, and the OTOP Chiang Mai Quality Goods Event for the year 2024.

In the initial phase of the contest, the selection process will narrow down from 20 contestants to just 10. The contestants will showcase various performances including swimwear, fashion sets, and evening gowns during the question-and-answer round to select the final 5 candidates. Former Miss Chiang Mai contestants from previous years such as:

(Joy) Worraluck Jaija, Miss Chiang Mai 2014 (Tian) Atchavee Buakeaw, Miss Chiang Mai 2016 (Bow) Supaporn Ritthipreuk, Miss Chiang Mai 2017 (Kitty) Vatusiri Jaikla, Miss Chiang Mai 2018 (Plaifah) Narumol Sittiwang, Miss Chiang Mai 2019

will be there to support and cheer for the contestants. A significant highlight of the event is the farewell speech by “Stamp” Ketsarin Sriphinpho, Miss Chiang Mai 2023, formally relinquishing her title. She will also present the award to the winner, namely,

or Dr. Kaewtip Narnnithivorawan, Miss Chiang Mai 2024,
the 71st Miss Chiang Mai, a graduate from the Faculty of Medicine at Srinakharinwirot University.

On January 8th, the Mister Chiang Mai 2024 contest was held at the central stage of the Chiang Mai Winter Fair, Miss Chiang Mai, 
and the OTOP Chiang Mai Quality Goods Event for the year 2024.

The Mister Chiang Mai contest stage serves asa platform to find the ultimate gentleman of the year, selecting young men from across the country, giving everyone the opportunity to showcase their potential and break into the entertainment industryon a world grand slam stage.

The event also promotes tourism in Chiang Mai province. The final night of the contest was spectacular, with full-scale colorful performances, including a variety of shows and quick-witted Q&A sessions. Notable participants included the runner-ups from Mister Chiang Mai 2566, Pom Kamolphop Kaewdio and Jackie Jirayu Tugger, who supported the contestants. The event also featured a farewell to the reigning Mister Chiang Mai 2023, "Tonklah" Phatitada Pothacharoen.

The "Miss Chiang Mai in Our Hearts" contest was first organized in 2017 to provide an opportunity for people of all genders and ages to participate. Contestants dress in vintage styles, emulating beloved past Miss Chiang Mai contestants, showcasing their talents in a full-scale pageant. 

 

The 2023 winner of the "Miss Chiang Mai in Our Hearts" is:

Rusameekae Fagerlund (Rusameekae)
A talented actress with a distinctive personality

This year, Rusameekae chose to portray "Mother Pudam" or "Sararat Hoomruengwong," Miss Chiang Mai of 1986. Her attire and demeanor, including her walk, speech, gaze, and gestures, were meticulously modeled after historical Miss Chiang Mai contestants.

 

After winning, Rusameekae expressed:

"I entered this competition with a strong desire to continue the legacy and significance of the Miss Chiang Mai in Our Hearts and Miss Chiang Mai pageants, widely recognized within the LGBTQIA+ community. I aim to extend this platform beyond Chiang Mai and neighboring provinces,

making it known nationwide to preserve the cultural roots of Lanna that we are proud of.

Above all, I aspire to be the first dark-skinned Miss Chiang Mai in Our Hearts, to demonstrate that modern diversity does not always fit the traditional fair-skinned ideal. Many people, including myself, may not resemble the typical Lanna person, but we always take pride in our roots, the local language, cuisine, and Lanna culture,
which I inherited from my mother, originally from Chiang Rai. Thank you."
