Lip Reduction Surgery
Lip reduction is a surgical procedure aimed at thinning abnormally thick lips. It is popular among those with excessively thick or protruding lips. The current preferred styles are the "tucked lip" or "bird-wing" shape. The surgeon will remove some of the inner tissue using local anesthesia and then remove the excess. Afterward, the surgeon will suture the wound and conceal the scar within the soft tissue of the lips, making it invisible when smiling. Patients can go home immediately after the procedure. Post-surgery, swelling may last about a week.
